Jose Lescano

Jose Lescano is the Maintenance Manager for Milford Mining Company.  Jose is a seasoned mechanical engineer with over 15 years of experience driving equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and asset performance in the mining industry. A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. and Canada, Jose has held key engineering roles across major operations including Freeport-McMoRan, Nevada Gold Mines, and Baffinland Iron Mines.

With deep expertise in root cause analysis, condition monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), Jose has successfully implemented cost-saving initiatives and equipment optimization strategies in both fixed and mobile plant environments. He is highly skilled in leveraging data analytics and predictive tools—such as oil analysis, vibration monitoring, and thermography—to extend asset life and reduce downtime. Jose is known for his strategic problem-solving, hands-on technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. His professional background spans North and South America, with a strong focus on safety, project execution, and continuous improvement. Outside of work, Jose enjoys following sports, maintaining an active lifestyle, exploring investment opportunities, and staying closely connected with his family.
